The Forest Hill round barstool features a comfortable padded backrest and a breathtaking simplicity of design: a trademark of its collection. The iron is gently textured and capped with Forest Hill's iron diamonds, hand-forged right here in Mountain View, Arkansas. You may specify the Natural Black finish as shown above, or opt for one of the many others pictured below.
The stool is available with 25" or 30" seat heights to accommodate traditional counters or bars, although custom heights are available upon request. Standard barstool base heights are 25" or 30", and adding the compressed seat thickness (1" to 2") to the base height will determine the approximate seat height. Allow 7"-10" of leg-room under the counter or bar.
The universal base is nicely designed, very sturdy and has a foot rest at a comfortable height plus easy glider inserts to protect your floors, and supports a variety of swivel seating options, including wood, a standard 1" padded seat, or a premium 2" seat with any wood or upholstery.
If you prefer to customize the upholstery yourself, you may order the white cloth cushion which is ready to cover, or serves as a great white fabric on its own. We would also be happy to custom-make the seat with your fabric. Select COM (customers own material) from the drop down menu and someone will contact you once an order is received with instructions and yardage requirements for your order.
Stone County Ironworks is America's Blacksmith Shop™, using traditional hand forging techniques to create iron furniture and accessories, one at a time. Quality workmanship that reflects the skill of the blacksmith continues to set Stone County Ironworks apart from other manufacturers.
The products they produce every day are “bench-made” one-at-a-time, by dedicated American artisans who treasure a simpler way of life in the hills of Arkansas. If you visit their forge, you won’t find a high speed assembly-line. Their skilled blacksmiths…sometimes second or third generation employees…make every item from start to finish using age-old forging methods. 30 years ago Stone County Ironworks began to reinvigorate the lost art of blacksmithing. Every hand-tool and essential piece of equipment used by the Village Smithy in the 1800’s is still integral to the way they make things today. You won’t find two Stone County pieces that are identical. Their products appeal more to those who find real and lasting value in the unique character found in each and every piece they make…the old fashioned way.
Thirty years ago they established an operating philosophy that still serves the company today…Excellent design and quality, rapid response, and friendly service. The range of design themes offered is endless. Whether replicating nature in a table for a grand lodge in the mountains, or incorporating geometric angles into a chandelier for a more contemporary environment, they can provide the perfect design for any space.
Their finish-artisans are experts in surface coloration and texture. From rustic bark, gun-metals or natural blacks, to hand rubbed metallic finishes and accents in bronze, pewter, gold or bright and antique coppers…They look for a finish which perfectly complements the piece. Their finishers can also replicate the characteristics of weathered wood or ancient metal “found objects.” Imagine rusty crackles, drips and runs, chips, fades and splotches…amazing and unique finishes that replicate years of exposure to the natural elements. They powder coat as well. Outdoor applications may require the weather resistant characteristics of special coatings.
